مسؤول أمريكي سابق يدعو إلى محاربة إمبراطورية المخدرات في سوريا
أعرب وزير الدفاع الأمريكي السابق كريستوفر ميلر، عن اعتقاده بأن الخطوة المقبلة للتحالف الدولي ستكون “محاربة إمبراطورية المخدرات الإيرانية في سوريا و العراق”.
وقال ميللر، الذي زار مؤخراً مناطق شمال شرقي سوريا، إن التحالف أمام فرصة لتغيير مهمته من مكافحة تنظيم “داعش” إلى محاربة المخدرات.
وأضاف في تصريحات لموقع “تارجيت”، الخميس، أن قوة “داعش” العسكرية انخفضت “بشكل كبير”، لكن الحرب مستمرة داخل السجون والمخيمات، خاصة “الهول”، داعياً المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته بإعادة مقاتلي “داعش”، والمشاركة في محاكمتهم، ودعم قوات “قسد” الكردية.
واتهم ميللر، تركيا بشن “حرب مفتوحة تجبر الناس على الخروج من موطنهم الأصلي”، ضد مناطق سيطرة “قسد”.
وحول التوتر مع موسكو في أجواء سوريا، أكد ميللر ضرورة وجود “قوة رادعة وردة فعل قوية لإرسال رسالة إلى روسيا وبشار الأسد”.
وكان ميللر، ناقش مع مسؤولي “الإدارة الذاتية” الكردية في شمال شرقي سوريا، عدداً من القضايا، بينها سبل مكافحة “الإرهاب”، وأوضاع أسرى “داعش” وعائلاتهم، وفق رئيس دائرة العلاقات الخارجية لدى “الإدارة” بدران جياكر.
